Australia’s beloved performer, Tom Burlinson has a brand new show playing some of the most iconic songs from the most celebrated composers and lyricists of the 20th century. Performing with one of the best big band orchestras, Tom brings your favourite songs to life.

Tom chooses songs he has never performed before from the best of "The Big Five," - Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Richard Rodgers, and Cole Porter. He will be regaling audiences with stories, context, and insights into the lives and works of these gifted men and how their songs came to be written with all of his wit and humour.

Listen to much-loved standards such as Johnny Mercer’s Something’s Gotta Give and Harold Arlen’s Stormy Weather. Broadway songs from Tin Pan Alley and the soundtrack from the film As Time Goes By are part of his repertoire. Other songs include Jerome Kern’s The Song is You, Cole Porter’s Anything Goes and Richard Rodgers’ I Could Write a Book, Irving Berlin’s How Deep is the Ocean?, George Gershwin’s A Foggy Day and Love is Here to Stay.

Great American Songbook is the perfect opportunity to hear beloved classics performed as they should be by the superior Tom Burlinson. Showcasing stellar musical arrangements for an orchestra with both horn and string sections, don't miss this exciting show.

Catch the show on May 25 at The Star Gold Coast.
